About me |
Hello, my name is Jason Fitch. I've had over 5 years of help desk experience, but also more than 10 years of customer service experience that enables me to handle most tense situations with other customers. My academic background enables me to pull from a vast array of liberal arts studies that also allow me to carry on a conversation and see other people's perspectives; valuable tools for any troubleshooting situation that is taking longer than anticipated. I’m a native with computer technology, as evident by my A+ certification from CompTIA and the speed in which I acquired it speaks to my core strength in IT: I'm a very quick learner when it comes to something new, and I thoroughly enjoy engrossing myself in research outside of office hours to expand my knowledge base.
I have an innate empathy and the ability to see scenarios and incidents from multiple perspectives, allowing me to keep customers at ease while the troubleshooting process is underway. My liberal arts background will provide me with ample communicative abilities to provide excellent support, and vast knowledge base to derive instruction, comparisons, and explanations from. This leads me to my core strength: I'm a very quick learner when it comes to anything new, whether it be guitar and drums, programming, or understanding the finer details of property and casualty insurance. I enjoy the troubleshooting process and relish at the idea of solving problems and mysteries, even when many of my peers do not. As we move further into the 21st century, I believe it will be imperative for even everyday citizens to have a basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices, troubleshooting knowledge for office applications and email systems, as well as virtualization and cloud technologies that are increasingly being relied on for healthcare, public infrastructure, and communications.
Finally, my current self-study of the Security plus certificate, and eventually the Network and Server plus certificates upon the Security plus exam completion, also makes me a long-term asset worth investing in for other departments once I’ve mastered my initial position! |
