Physicians’ ownership of their own practices has been in steady decline since the 1980's and took a significant dip in the early 2000's. By 2012, the share of physicians who were owners had dwindled to 53.2% and now it's less than 50%. What's driving this trend - staff management, billing and collections, work-life balance?
